And Kayla starts to seriously obsess about Jared Stewart—the very cute, very mysterious new guy in school. Suddenly, the teen queen of advice needs her own oracle of dating–and she knows just where to find one…

*****
OMG!  The Oracle Of Dating is one of the cutest books ever.  I devoured it in one sitting.  It was so fun!
Kayla is the Oracle of Dating but nobody knows this except her sister.  She knows nobody would take the advice of a 15-year-old girl with only two exes seriously.  But she really does know what she is doing.  Some of her blog posts and IMs are included in the book and she is good at giving advice.  She was a super smart girl.  And she had great friends.  Viv, Ryan, Amy, and Sharese were hilarious.  Amy was my favorite though.  Oh and Jared was hot.  He was one of those nice bad boys.  He was sweet and funny.  So basically he was perfect.  =]
The plot never dragged.  There were a couple different things going on at once but not too many.  I really liked all the blog posts that were included and the Oracle conversations.  All the questions and problems were very realistic things that teenagers go through.  It was a very well-balanced book that kept me entertained until the very last page.
Overall, The Oracle Of Dating is one for all chick-lit lovers.  I don’t have anything bad to say about it.  I can’t wait for the next book in the series.  Until then I will have to check out Allison Van Diepen’s other books.
First line:  You might think that September is a weird time to be making New Year’s resolutions.
