Books By Their Covers is a new feature here on Katie's Book Blog. It is created by me and it is a chance for me to share my love of book covers. In this feature, I will pick one book cover and give you guys my opinion of it. =)
My opinion: I didn't like this one at first but after looking at it more closely, it really is a striking cover. The carnival scene with the ferris wheel, the boardwalk, and the mist coming off the guy all give it a creepy feel. The font for the title adds to the creepiness. The dark color and the fact that a guy is on the cover also make this cover very appealing, especially to guys. This one is definitely unique for YA.

Wow this is a great blog idea! I love the movement and direction that the mist and wooden planks create to point us towards the creepy buildings in the background.

ReplyDeleteThis cover kind of reminds me of Isaac Marion's Warm Bodies, with the blue things swirling out of him. I like the cover; looks a bit creepy.
