Book Haul! (143)

Book Haul is a weekly feature here on Katie’s Book Blog.  It is not something I created and I take no credit for it.  Anyone who wants to participate can and you don’t necessarily have to call it a book haul. It is a list of what books you have received over the previous week, either for review, from the library, from the bookstore, or from trades.

  1. Arise is one of the books I’m really excited for. I really enjoyed Hereafter last year so I’m looking forward to finding out what happens next. But it sounds like you have plenty of exciting books to look forward to reading!

  2. I was going to recommend “stoked” as a word to use instead of “excited”, but you already beat me to it Katie!

I’ve not heard of Gil Marsh, but I’m interested in reading it! I enjoyed reading Gilgamesh in high school, and Gilgamesh also pops up in some of the video games I play =] The latter might not sound like a legitimate reason to want to read a book, but it works for me!

  3. Shadow and Bone looks SO GOOD. If you haven’t read Hereafter/Arise yet, do so, as they are very fun and the writing style is addictive. (Though I read the manuscript of Arise, so I’m kind of biased in that regard.) 🙂 I look forward to seeing reviews of so many of these!

  4. Major envy over here. A lot of those books I am just DYING to read! You make me super excited, because I really want to read them. Oh, I hope you love Graffiti Moon because I did. it was love love love all around 🙂

    Happy reading and enjoy!

  5. You got sooo many great books this week! I’m so excited for The Vanishing Game, For Darkness Shows the Stars, and Graffiti Moon! Oh, and if you want other good necromancy books, you should check out Kelley Armstrong’s The Summoning series!

  6. Most interested in For Darkness Shows the Stars. But at the same tell, I am usually leery of retellings. Although I adore Shannon Hale’s The Goose Girl. (Maybe because I haven’t already read the original?)

  7. Excited is a very awesome description of how you feel receiving these AMAZING books. I’ve read Graffiti Moon and it’s really good! And I really want to read A Touch Morbid 🙂

  8. Wow, lots of great books this week! You will definitely love Graffiti Moon – it’s amazing! Shooting Stars is a quick, fun read. I really want to read Someone Else’s Life – looks so good! Hope you enjoy all of them 🙂

  9. Scarlet is one of my favorite books from this year. Hope you enjoy it.

Great hau this week, so many awesome sounding titles. Hope you enjoy them. =)

  10. A WANT SO WICKED! Gah! I really can’t wait to read that one. A Need So Beautiful was amazing and I look forward to it’s follow up.
Also, The Vanishing Game and Shooting Stars both look good while completely different 😛
