I kind of agree with you. Spirit bound did slow up a bit, especially after the fast paced Blood Promise. But I still loved it! It wasn't my least liked out of the whole series, that would be The Last Sacrifice. Blood Promise was my absolute favorite! It was so epic! Great review!

In hindsight? I think Spirit Bound was my least favorite book (I just finished the series about a two weeks ago.) But I also see where it fit into the big scheme of things.

That said? Last Sacrifice is so quick moving that the series redeems itself for Spirit Bound!

I wasn't a huge fan of book 4 but I liked Spirit Bound more than I did Blood Promise. I too was disappointed that Rose was so whiny in this book. I am used to her being strong and determined not indecisive and whiny.
Book 6 was great and I was so sad that it was the end of the series. I'm very interested to see what you think of Last Sacrifice.
