Big Sib/Little Sib

Hi everyone! It’s Hafsah, Ivy, Katie, and Kelsey here! Over the last few hours we have been working on a secret project, but it’s not so secret anymore since we are now sharing with you all!

Our secret project is called, Big Sib/Little Sib! Big Sib/Little Sib is a program where we help pair novice bloggers with veteran book bloggers. We try to pair novices to veterans to help them get started in the book blogging community.

FAQ:
Goal: To pair up novices in the book blogging community with a veteran who knows the ropes and can look out and help out a novice.

Where to sign up: You can sign up on Hafsah, Ivy, Katie, and Kelsey’s blog. All four forms are the same so you only need to sign up once.

What makes a veteran: Someone who is experienced with a history of book blogging, those who have blogged for over a year with a number of followers, respected book bloggers, someone who knows a lot about the book blogging community, etc.

What makes a novice: Someone who is new with the book blogging community and would like to learn the ropes on how to book blog and how to act responsibly when blogging or asking for books to reviews, author interviews, etc.

How can we decide what makes you a veteran/novice: We look through your book blog to determine where to place you even though you have signed up to be a different position. We take each applicant's form seriously and thought out how to decide which position you go for and email you if the position you signed up for has changed. We would ask if you would like where we placed you as a veteran or novice and we go on from there.

How to be paired: Similar interest in books. However, it will not base solely on just books, it would also be based on interests. We ask you to describe yourself outside of the book blogging world to find a good match other than book interests.

Expectations: We expect that each pair will respect each other and not bash each other. In this program, we do not discriminate anyone of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, etc. We expect this program to grow and to help bloggers in need in the book blogging community.
